Being authentic is a buzzword in our world. But what does the word mean? Being authentic with Christ allows him to loosen the chains of sin so we can flee sin. False authentically and teaching welcomes the church to look like the world instead of giving the world the hope of Christ. Are you authentic to Christ? Text: Revelation 2:12-17
The symbol of the vine has been intertwined in Israel’s history and as an image of who God desired His people to be. God planted His people to bear fruit for Him, but sadly their fruitfulness never lived up to the fruit God longed for. This is a picture of each of us today. Being apart from Jesus the True Vine, we bear no good fruit. Abide in the True Vine and God prunes us into a bountiful branch for Christ. Abide in Christ. Text: Psalm 80: 8-11; John 15: 1-8
It is easy to be clouded by the world. Develop a mission statement to help guide you through life’s storms. Be part of the great cloud of witnesses that surrounds us, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus.
Text: Matthew 9:35-38 ; Hebrews 12:1-3
As Christian we look to Jesus as the world around us doesn’t know what is right-side up or upside down. Christians need to be resilient disciples of Jesus as we live our life and disciple others in our Christian faith. Text: Acts 17 & 18
As the world shakes around us, where can we look to find something unshaken to have faith in? Acts Chapter 10-12 show an early church with a world shaking around them, but still having Unshakable faith in Jesus. The same is true for us today, we need unshakable faith in Jesus. Text: Acts 10: 9-17; 12: 1-11
