“Missional” and “Discipleship” may sound daunting and out of touch with everyday life, until you meet Marvin. God has uniquely gifted Marvin to inspire followers of Jesus to live fully and practically into Jesus’ mission every day.
Through his own journey of coming to faith in Jesus and today as President of EMM, Marvin has an engaging, practical, and powerful word for every follower of Jesus.
Born in Tegucigalpa, capital city of Honduras, Marvin Lorenzana felt called by God to become a missionary to the second country in the world with the most Hispanics after Mexico: The United States of America! In the USA, he served as a Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, Senior Pastor and Church Planter in New Orleans, LA., El Paso, TX., Miami, FL., and Harrisonburg, VA. An ordained and licensed minister with LMC (A Fellowship of Anabaptist Churches), Marvin lives in Lancaster, PA with his wife Mariana with whom they have two adult children, Pablo (23) and Alexa (21) and a granddaughter, Sophia (3).
As president of EMM, Marvin is focused on ensuring the organization’s grand purpose (vision) is realized. Based on the values of obedience, well-being, and multiplication, and through the power of Christ’s transforming love, EMM crosses cultures, engages the world, and makes disciples of Jesus.
Marvin enjoys traveling with his wife, Mariana, attending live music performances (mostly jazz) and listening to books via Audible. He is passionate about disciples making disciples and will be speaking from his rich experiences as a follower of Jesus, husband, father, pastor, and mission leader.

Tuesday: Jesus the King
Jesus is the King God promised

Wednesday: Jesus the Redeemer
Jesus fulfilled God’s plan to save us
He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day” Luke 24:46
Thursday: Holy Spirit the Helper
The Holy Spirit gives us the power to follow God’s plan
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
