We are so thankful and blessed to have so many volunteers who have stepped up and shared their gifts with our children & families on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights! The vision of the children’s ministries at Weaverland is to see hearts and minds of the next generation transformed and ignited as they encounter the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Volunteers are the ones who are making this vision a reality and we are always excited when others catch that vision and join us in ministry to the next generation! All that to say, this page is dedicated to all things children’s ministry volunteer–present and future. Enjoy! —Abigail Huber, Director of Children’s Ministries
Below are a variety of resources and starting points for you as you engage in children’s ministry from a variety of roles! May the Lord teach you and equip you abundantly in a variety of ways!
As ministry leaders, before we can teach anybody else about God and walk with them in spiritual growth, we need to pay close to attention to cultivating our own personal walk with the Lord! You cannot give what you do not have–if you are empty spiritually, you are not going to be able to minister in the same way as you would from an overflow of your heart that is walking with God regularly! Time with God can look different for everyone, but sometimes, you simply don’t know where to start! Below are links to some devotionals and Bible studies that have blessed me richly and drew me into life with God and the study of His Word!
*I do own a few of these if you would like to look at them or borrow them!
